Where's the site?

The site is owned by Transport Scotland, located below the M74 Extension and bounded by Falfield Street, Stromness Street, Salkeld Street and Mauchline Street in Pollokshields area of Glasgow.

  • Multi-purpose public park/ recreational space serving local areas as well as city-wide, national and international visitors

  • Location is central to three southside constituencies: Gorbals, Laurieston and Scotland Street

  • Destination that will create and establish new pedestrian and cycle routes and provide a rare landmark in Port Eglinton/Tradeston

  • Attract cultural tourists, offering a linking destination on route between city centre, GOMA and Tramway

  • Provide new public 'green space' within an urban environment

  • An innovative urban place that encourages physical activity and enhances well-being, aimed at young people
